The wedding was fabulous, I was no Kate Middleton but I like to think of myself as 'a little dollop of gorgeousness'. It was a perfect day. The best bit was when we came into the meal and everyone clapped and cheered for the longest time!
I felt very loved.
I bought a couple of books to read on holiday. I know it was a honeymoon but I get anxious when I don't have a stack of books to read.
One of the books was 'The Secret' Has anyone read it? I wasn't too sure what it would actually be about.
It gave me pause for thought. I do agree that life is partly what you make it. I have the philosophy that you can't control what happens to you just how you react. So a book which is saying that you can attract whatever you like did make me ponder.
People at our wedding remarked that it was so personal and one colleague marvelled that it was exactly how I described it to him over three months ago. When I heard that I was a bit puzzled.... as well, why won't it be? I had a very clear mental picture of what I wanted and worked towards that. Therefore I got it.
I remembered other times in my life where I was so clear on wanting something to be a certain way and I got it. I don't think it's anything magical I think it's just being clear on what you work towards. I can't change the genetic quirk I have with regards to my Mast cells. But perhaps I can be clearer on what I want out of life.
Which leads me to another quandary...what do I want out of life..how can I see my life being, how do I want it to be?
I tried to have a chat with Mr C who had decided he wanted no part of this. He eventually, after deciding to humour me, thought very hard and said he quite fancied making cheese in the style of Hugh Fernley Whittingsthingy. He from that decided he wanted to keep goats....under further questioning he disclosed he fancied me keeping the goats and him working Monday to Friday coming home of a weekend to make cheese, before he caught my look he got as far as mentioning chickens but he ground to a halt when he caught my eye.
I have now hidden 'The Secret' in the bottom of the suitcase.
